Overview

Contribute to the attainment of St. Marks Powder goals by providing technical support and assistance to the Production Department.

Major Position Responsibilities
    Assists Production Management with gathering and evaluating daily operating data for conformance to process parameters. Makes recommendations to solve process problems. Implements solutions on a self-directed basis.
  • Provides technical support and recommendations for the resolution of unsafe conditions.
  • Generates and obtains approval for process or equipment changes and Engineering Service Requests via the Change Control procedure.
  • Participates as a member of project teams for capital projects to assist in the development of project scopes, equipment design/layout, and check out/startup plans. Coordinates development of Initial Operating Procedures and Operator training.
  • Recommends and investigates Lean initiatives, cost reductions, and process optimization opportunities.
  • Participates in scope, design, startup, and operating hazard reviews.
  • Coordinates plant tests to support Research & Development, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Engineering projects.
  • Participates in Planning and Control Team and other focus group activities to ensure continuous improvement in operational facilities.
  • Assist in Process Control Checkouts to ensure reliability of safety devices.
Basic Qualifications

Requires significant adaptability as well as working in a manufacturing environment and the ability to work around machinery.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled or accepted into a 2-4-year accredited college or university or have graduated in the last 6 months.
  • Completed at a minimum the sophomore year in college, majoring in the discipline of Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering or similar engineering or technical degree program.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, detailed orientated and an attitude supporting a team service environment.
