Background:

Internship Overview:
The intern will assist the Site Manager on areas for development of new programs that
are part of expanding the Comprehensive Refugee Services (CRS) program. The intern
will work closely with the administration team to assist in essential operations functions
related to the smooth functioning of the office, as well as assisting in the development of
expanding programs.
Responsibilities:
* Support the general operation of the IRC in Tallahassee, including collecting and
distributing mail, coordinating maintenance requests with the property managers,
maintaining the general safety and security preparedness, and coordinating information
technology
* Serve as backup receptionist providing coverage of front desk intermittently
* Lead or participate in other projects and assignments needed for Administration
* Other duties as assigned
* Knowledgeable about immigration statuses, current policies and international issues
* Proficient in a second language such as Spanish, Arabic, French, Swahili etc. would be a
plus but not required
* Excellent communication and writing skills
* Organized with attention to detail
* Able to work independently and under pressure
* Strong desire to help people and has enthusiasm for working in a multi-cultural setting
* Computer literacy - preferably with PC systems.
* Must pass a background check ($51.00 fee)
* Must be at least 18 years old
* Must provide proof of COVID vaccination
* Must attend IRC volunteer orientation training
* Must commit to at least 15 hours a week and report to the Tallahassee office.
