We have an excellent opportunity for a Temporary Project Coordinator in our Science & Medicine department. This temporary position will be located in our National Center office in Dallas, TX.

The Temporary Project Coordinator, Science & Medicine will be responsible for coordinating activities and resources in support of technical projects that impact multiple departments and include AHA volunteers. The project coordinator will also be assigned science reviews, depending on skills and background.

This is a temporary, position for approximately 6-9 months. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Major Responsibilities Include:

  1. Develop agendas for meetings, record key information during project calls and take minutes. Coordinate project team members, volunteers and staff in the scheduling of project calls. Keep rosters up to date and keep contact lists accurate. Reconcile calendars and schedule meetings.
  2. Assist in maintaining project calendar and timeline. Responsible to track project changes and produce updated timeline as needed.
  3. Assist in the organization of materials for review such as patient education materials, consumer materials and web content if applicable.
  4. Assist in maintenance of multiple on-going tasks as needed, compile summary documents and other information. Keep files, organize documents, manage materials, etc.
  5. Assist in other duties as assigned such as attending local meeting and writing summary reports on the meeting presentations.
Required Experience
  1. Some business courses, Bachelor's degree preferred
  2. 2 years of administrative experience preferred
  3. Detail-oriented, able to work independently and under supervision
  4. Strong written and oral communications skills
  5. Knowledge of nutrition and public health is helpful
